Lazy Days of Summer Day 2

Last night around the bon fire I asked the kids to give me some ideas of what we should do this summer…I’ve always wanted to write ideas down & pull them out of a jar or something.  So I decided to write all of their ideas down on popsicle sticks.  Mostly to use on days that they are bored…but today we pulled one.  CHUCK E CHEESE

So we started our day on our walk.  Kids are all being great sports about it.  I had a crabby one but we just kept going.

I love this picture. 3 waaay up ahead & then the other 2

The big boys were determined to finish their project but ran out of nuts & bolts.   They were changing out the spades.

Getting ready for CHUCK E CHEESE…the kids were playing with Maggie before we left.  Kept putting her in this hamper.  She loved it.  And would laugh so hard when they put it over her.

Cole & Jack spent their money so fast…seriously in about the first 15 minutes.  I don’t know what they played but they got a TON of tickets.  Cole was so sweet & gave his to Charlie.  I had a few extra tickets & actually played a few games.  I just carried Maggie in a snugglie carrier.  She got so tired out from watching all of the action.  Got some tickets for Cam.

Once Cole & Jack were all out of tokens they started looking under all of the games for more tokens.  I was a little embarrassed at first.  Charlie, Cam & George joined in when they were out.  They found 18 tokens.  I couldn’t believe it.  So they kept playing.  Then Cam found a whole cup full flipped upside down under a game.  I thought we should turn it in but there were hardly any people there & nobody looked stressed like they lost a whole cup full of tokens so I let them keep them for next time.  : )image image

By far their favorite part was just looking for tokens.   Too funny.  One of the things I LOVE about these kids:  They are so so so appreciative of ANYTHING we do.  Tons of “thanks mom”  & “that was so much fun”.  They are easy to please still & I love it.  & always grateful for just doing something fun.  Love them.

Here are a few pics of Maggie.  She turned 8 months last week & I never took her picture yet…so I thought I had better do that.  She was so cute trying to wave to me when I was trying to get her attention by saying “hi Maggie, Hi Maggie”

I just eat her up everyday…such a sweetie!!!
